I'm Tyler Cobbs. I'm a Savannah marketing consultant and AI strategy consultant, and I've spent the last three years proving those two things aren't in tension.

I started doing marketing work for Coastal Georgia businesses because I watched too many of them get sold a vision and handed a invoice, with nobody around to explain what either one actually meant. Website design, SEO, branding, the work itself isn't complicated. What's usually missing is someone who'll sit with you long enough to find out what your business actually needs, instead of selling you whatever's in the package.

That's still the job today. 150+ businesses across Savannah and Coastal Georgia, from a hearse tour company to a med spa to a Mediterranean restaurant, and the work looks different every time because the businesses are different every time.

In 2026, I gave a TEDx talk in Savannah about something that had started worrying me: cognitive atrophy, the slow erosion of judgment that happens when people hand their thinking over to AI instead of using it alongside their own. I wasn't speaking as an outsider. I use AI every day, in my own work and in how I run client projects. The talk wasn't a warning against AI. It was an argument for using it on purpose.

That argument is the reason I work with businesses now as an AI strategy consultant, not just a marketing partner. The same judgment that goes into a website redesign goes into deciding where AI actually helps a business and where it just adds noise. I don't sell AI as a shortcut. I help you figure out where it sharpens what your team already does well, and where it doesn't belong at all.

What an AI Strategy Consultant Actually Does

Most of what gets called "AI strategy" is really just tool recommendations. That's not what I do. An AI strategy consultant's actual job is figuring out where AI creates real value for a specific business, and being honest about where it doesn't, before any tool gets chosen.

For the businesses I work with, that means I look at where decisions are actually being made, where the bottlenecks are, and where a human's judgment is doing work that AI could support without replacing. Sometimes that's a content workflow. Sometimes it's customer communication. Sometimes the answer is that AI shouldn't be part of the process yet, and I'll say so.
